This is a shot of where I live from a tree in the back yard. Kona and I are both up here and it reminds me of a time when I was in third grade and home alone and scared. I had freaked myself out pretty good and decided the safest thing to do would be to lock the house up like no one was home, climb the biggest tree in the yard, and tie the dog to the base of it.

Hey Jo - looks like you are always keeping yourself busy around there. Hope you like the move. You'll do awesome. It seems like you always make the best of every situation. I scanned through your pics a bit and saw that you climbed Baxter's. It's a fun climb. Hoe did you like the last face - with the barn door move lay back? We also did it in 2-3 pitches. Hey - when you got the rope and protection use it! We're in Indiana 4 hours from Red River Gorge. Good climbing. Good luck near the Huencos!

i remember playing in trees all the time! i love mom's theory that all kids need a tree they can climb.

do you remember when i was a dictator and made you run two laps around the house for farting next to me in the tree? i also remember trying to nail boards in the tree for chairs and a hopeful tree-house!
