Well, after putting the cat "under" we decided that shaving wasn't really necessary so we got to work with a comb and some scissors.

I'm glad the sedative worked, but it would have been quit a thriller if it hadn't! The cat would have woken up with a wild look in his, teeth bared and claws out... i will leave the rest up to your imagination
